Train services have resumed between Galați and Târgu Bujor after two years due to flood damage. The repairs cost nearly 56 million lei and were funded by the state budget. The line was reopened on October 14, 2024, after significant restoration work on the affected railway sections. Further repairs are ongoing towards Bârlad to complete the route.
