Trenurile revin pe o linie feroviară românească afectată în 2024 de furtuna Boris. Refacerea infrastructurii a costat aproape 56 de milioane de lei

Rail traffic on the Galați–Târgu Bujor route has resumed after repairs from September 2024 floods caused by storm Boris. The investment totaled nearly 56 million lei, with ongoing work on the Târgu Bujor–Bârlad section. The Regional Railway Branch of Galați announced that trains are operational again on line CF 703 since October 14, 2024, at 15:00. The floods damaged about 11 kilometers of railway across 36 areas, necessitating extensive repairs. The project, funded by the state budget, included restoring the embankment, replacing broken rails and damaged sleepers, and stabilizing the railway. During repairs, train services were limited to the Galați–Chiraftei section, with alternative road transport provided to Târgu Bujor, Berești, and Bârlad. Work continues on the Târgu Bujor–Bârlad section to fully reopen line CF 703.
