The bidding for electric trains for Cluj's future metropolitan railway concluded with a single offer. Evaluation of the bid is next, according to Mayor Emil Boc. The project includes two separate tenders, one for 23 stations and another for train procurement. The metropolitan train will connect Gârbău to Bonțida over 48.8 kilometers, enhancing urban development and reducing road traffic. The financing contract is valued at 284 million euros, with an estimated travel time of 65 minutes and a frequency of two trains per hour.
