A 24-year-old Ukrainian, exhausted and dehydrated after three days in the mountains, called for help and found shelter in a newly built refuge on Pop Ivan Peak. Rescuers from Salvamont Maramureș assisted him, ensuring his safe descent and handover to border police. This incident marks the first use of the recently established "Refuge of Hope" for someone in distress.
