Three Romanian citizens were caught by carabinieri in Rome while operating a street scam known as the 'three bells game'. The suspects, aged 41, 42, and 26, were identified in the Trevi district during a police operation. They had established roles, with one acting as the dealer and the others posing as players to mislead passersby into believing they could win money. The police intervened, confiscating items used for the scam and €400 in cash. The trio was reported for fraud and gambling activities, received fines, and were banned from the area for 48 hours under an urban Daspo measure.
