Three individuals aged 22 to 53 have been detained for drug trafficking in Bucharest, with authorities uncovering cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis, and other illegal substances during searches. The suspects were arrested on October 9, 2026, by DIICOT prosecutors, with one accused also charged for unauthorized operations involving psychoactive products. Investigations revealed that since 2024, one suspect had been procuring and selling various drugs to consumers via a dead drop method, using encrypted messaging for initial contact. During the operation, significant quantities of drugs and cash were seized, leading to a 30-day preventive arrest ordered by the Bucharest Tribunal on October 10, 2026. The judicial activities were supported by police and gendarmerie units, ensuring the suspects' legal rights are upheld throughout the process.
