Three individuals, including former mayoral candidate Corneliu Ștefan, were arrested following DIICOT raids related to pension fraud. The suspects allegedly falsified data for illegal pension decisions. Multiple searches occurred across Bucharest and several counties, including Ilfov and Constanța. A court ruling partially accepted the prosecution's request for preventive arrest, leading to a 30-day detention for the accused. Contestations against the ruling were rejected, and the defendants were ordered to pay judicial costs.
