Trei factori de risc pe care îi poți controla ar putea ține demența la distanță cu ani întregi
A new study suggests that avoiding smoking, diabetes, and hypertension in middle age could delay dementia onset by up to 13 years. Researchers from NYU Langone Health analyzed data from over 12,000 participants, finding that those without these risk factors had a significantly lower risk of developing dementia. The study highlights that individuals with all three factors had a 2.69 times higher risk. It also notes disparities in dementia onset among different racial groups and genders. While the findings are compelling, the study is observational, and the 13-year delay is not guaranteed for everyone.
