The Romanian military has reported the downing of three drones over three consecutive days, highlighting ongoing airspace violations since the war began. An F-16 fighter jet shot down the drones on July 24, 25, and 26, 2026, in various locations including Buzău and the Danube Delta. The Ministry of Defense noted over 100 attacks near the Romanian border and 33 instances of Russian drones entering national airspace. In 2026 alone, there were more than 40 attacks recorded, with 18 unauthorized drone incursions and three drones shot down by F-16s.
