Three state companies in the energy and transport sectors have been restructured through merger and absorption, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu. The operations were completed to meet milestone 443 of the PNRR aimed at improving public enterprises. CFR SA has finalized its merger with Telecomunicații CFR SA and Tipografica „Filaret” SA, integrating their activities into its structure. This reorganization is intended to streamline administrative processes and enhance resource management without privatizing the absorbed companies. In the energy sector, Electrocentrale Grup merged with SAPE. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this reform is a significant step towards improving corporate governance in state-owned companies.
