Three state companies in the energy and transport sectors have been restructured through merger and absorption, announced Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu. This move aims to fulfill milestone 443 of the PNRR, which focuses on improving public enterprises. In the energy sector, Electrocentrale Grup merged with SAPE, while in transport, two companies merged with CNCFR. The Office of the Trade Register approved these mergers, marking a significant step in corporate governance reform. Gheorghiu emphasized that this is just the beginning of a broader reform process for public enterprises.
