Trei ani după gratii pentru donații către o fundație anticorupție

A Russian woman, Elena Albegova, was sentenced to three years in prison for donating to the Anti-Corruption Foundation, deemed extremist by authorities. She was convicted for a 1,000 ruble donation made in August 2021, shortly after the foundation was banned. Albegova acknowledged her guilt in court, expressing regret and stating she believed the organization was inactive. This case is part of a broader crackdown on individuals who supported the foundation, with over 225 criminal cases opened against donors since its designation as extremist. Albegova is the second woman sentenced for such donations, highlighting the ongoing repression of dissent in Russia.
