The Coast Guard announced the resumption of ferry traffic across the Danube at the Isaccea-Orlivka border crossing, which had been suspended due to drone attacks in Ukraine. The ferry service restarted on September 2, 2026, at 19:00, and is currently operating without restrictions for all vehicle categories. The previous closure was a result of a Russian drone attack on September 1, which caused damage and fires at the Orlivka checkpoint. Traffic was redirected to other border points during the closure.
