TransRegio de 171 km, pas înainte în procedura de mediu

The TransRegio road project connecting Brăila, Slobozia, Drajna, and Chiciu has progressed in the environmental approval process. The National Agency for Environment and Protected Areas signed a decision for the project's environmental classification, which spans approximately 171 km across Brăila, Ialomița, and Călărași counties. This initiative aims to enhance regional road connections and access to the A2 motorway, while also implementing environmental protection measures. Although the decision marks progress, further documentation and public consultations are required before final environmental approval can be granted. The feasibility study for the project is underway, with an estimated investment of 2.5 billion euros, and authorities plan to seek funding in the next European financial cycle.
