Transportul public se scumpește în Europa: Bucureștiul, printre capitalele cu creșteri de peste 10%

Public transport costs have risen in 14 European capitals over the past three years, with Bucharest seeing at least a 10% increase. A Greenpeace study analyzed transport accessibility and pricing across 27 EU countries, the UK, Switzerland, and Norway. London has the highest monthly fare at €162, followed by Amsterdam at €107 and Paris at €77. Nicosia experienced the largest price hike at 67%, while Bucharest is among cities with significant long-term fare increases. The study highlights varying VAT rates on public transport tickets, with some capitals seeing price reductions. Only eight countries offer free or affordable long-term public transport options, with Tallinn, Luxembourg, and Valletta ranking highest in accessibility.
