Transportul public din Arad, dublat după biletul de 1 leu
In August, the number of public transport tickets sold in Arad doubled compared to July, following a price reduction to 1 leu. This initiative aimed to encourage local residents to use public transport more frequently. The program '1 leu pe zi' has led to significant increases in ticket and subscription sales, with tickets rising from 36,072 in July to 80,556 in August. Subscriptions also saw a notable increase, from 3,207 to 5,772. The mayor of Arad, Călin Bibarț, expressed satisfaction with these results, indicating a positive shift in public transport usage. Since August 1, Arad offers the cheapest public transport in Romania, with a 24-hour ticket costing only 1 leu.
