Germany remains the largest contributor, accounting for 33.5% of total freight transport. Sixteen EU member states reported a decline, while eight saw increases, with Greece showing the highest growth. The per capita freight transport was highest in Luxembourg, Austria, and Lithuania, while Ireland had the lowest figures.
