Transgaz: Memorandum pentru extinderea Coridorului Vertical către Balcanii de Vest
Transgaz signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 4, 2026, in Thessaloniki to expand the Vertical Corridor, including new members from Serbia and North Macedonia. This extension aims to enhance energy security in the Balkans and Europe. Key energy ministers from Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, North Macedonia, and Romania attended the signing ceremony. The initiative is seen as a strategic move to diversify gas supply routes and reduce dependence on Russian gas. The Vertical Corridor is expected to improve regional energy cooperation and resilience, while also positioning Romania as a key player in the European energy landscape.
