Transgaz a investit peste 3 miliarde de euro în securitatea energetică a României. Noi proiecte anunțate

This summer's severe drought highlighted Romania's energy system vulnerabilities, leading to the shutdown of the Cernavodă nuclear plant and reduced hydroelectric production. A national debate organized by Antena 3 CNN gathered decision-makers, energy company representatives, and meteorology experts to discuss climate change and energy security. Elisabeta Ghidiu from Transgaz detailed the company's investments of around 3 billion euros since 2013 aimed at enhancing the national gas transport system's security. She emphasized the importance of strategic projects like the Vertical Corridor, designed to reduce dependence on Russian gas. Ghidiu also mentioned recent developments, including a memorandum signed for expanding the Vertical Corridor to improve energy interconnectivity with Serbia and North Macedonia.
