Transfăgărășanul sâmbătă se închide pentru un triatlon

Traffic on a section of the Transfăgărășan will be temporarily closed on Saturday, September 5, for the "TRANSFIER 2026" triathlon event. The closure will occur from 07:00 to 18:00, between km 62+100 at Vidraru Dam and km 116+808 at Bâlea Lake. This measure is necessary to ensure the safety of the sporting event, which includes swimming, cycling, and running. During this time, no vehicular access will be allowed, and drivers are advised to plan their trips accordingly. The road closure will be enforced by the event organizers with the support of the Traffic Police. The restriction is only for Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 07:00 to 18:00.
