Transelectrica is advancing the 400 kV Suceava–Bălți power line project, which includes the first transformation station in Botoșani. The project, with an investment of over 133 million lei, aims to enhance energy connectivity with Moldova and is deemed of national importance. Construction is set to begin by early 2027, facilitating Moldova's integration into the European energy network. The line will span 93.3 kilometers across 17 administrative units in Suceava and Botoșani. The new transformation station will stabilize voltage parameters and support renewable energy projects in the region, promoting industrial investments.
