Transelectrica a investit 260 de milioane de lei în două instalații care stabilizează rețeaua electrică. Tehnologia este o premieră în sudul Europei

Transelectrica has invested 260 million lei in two STATCOM installations to enhance Romania's electrical grid stability. This technology, a first in Southern Europe, allows for rapid voltage regulation and supports renewable energy integration. The project was completed ahead of schedule in August 2026, with significant funding from the Modernization Fund. The installations, located in Sibiu Sud and Bradu, help manage reactive power and improve grid resilience, especially during fluctuations in energy demand. This investment is crucial for adapting the energy infrastructure to the increasing share of renewable sources.
