Traian Băsescu sare în apărarea lui Siegfried Mureșan: „Un vânt rece, siberian, suflă pe culoarele politicii românești”

Former President Traian Băsescu defended Siegfried Mureșan's nomination as Prime Minister, criticizing the backlash it received. He described Mureșan as well-educated and respected in European institutions, while mocking opponents' concerns about rule of law and anti-corruption efforts. Băsescu claimed that attacks on Mureșan began immediately after the announcement, labeling him as a traitor and a foreign agent. He sarcastically suggested that true patriots would prefer a less qualified candidate. Mureșan was nominated by President Nicușor Dan and must now form a government and gain parliamentary approval. The nomination has also drawn reactions from PSD leaders, including ironic comments from Lia Olguța Vasilescu.
