Traian Băsescu îl critică pe Nicușor Dan pe Legea salarizării
Former Romanian President Traian Băsescu believes that discussions on the new Salary Law have reached a challenging point for both employees and the European Commission. He stated that the law is difficult to adopt nationally and at the European level, especially given the president's stance against salary reductions. Băsescu emphasized that this position is well-known in Brussels, where officials are focused on Romania's commitment to budget deficit targets. The Salary Law is a milestone in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and failing to adopt it by the end of August could result in Romania losing 770 million euros. Băsescu argues that the current situation makes it unlikely for the law to meet all political, social, and European demands simultaneously.
