He expressed skepticism about the timeline for a new government due to existing political barriers. Băsescu highlighted the lack of constitutional basis for the terms being used and pointed out that the proposals from PSD and PNL do not have the necessary parliamentary support. Meanwhile, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan suggested a technocratic transitional government could be formed in September.
