A fire broke out in a fourth-floor apartment in Călan, resulting in the death of an 89-year-old woman. Firefighters faced intense flames and thick smoke upon arrival. Eleven adults and one minor evacuated due to smoke. The fire spread to part of the roof but was eventually extinguished. After the incident, firefighters ensured nearby apartments were safe and identified the cause as an electrical short circuit from a kitchen appliance.
