On the night of September 6-7, 2026, rail traffic to and from Henri Coandă Airport was disrupted for four hours due to a train breakdown. The R-E 10120 train operated by TransFeroviar Grup became immobilized at 21:55, blocking the line. An assistance train arrived but could not couple due to technical issues. CFR SA worked on solutions to clear the line, which was reopened at 01:50 on September 7. The incident caused significant delays for five airport trains, totaling over 1,000 minutes. Other railway incidents were reported that day, including a locomotive fire and fallen trees causing further disruptions.
