Traficul feroviar dintre Bulgaria și România pe Podul Dunării va fi închis timp de opt luni în 2027

Rail traffic between Bulgaria and Romania will be completely halted from April 5 to December 13, 2027, due to a major electrification and infrastructure project. This suspension affects all passenger and freight trains on the Danube Bridge, redirecting international traffic through alternative border crossings. The Romanian side has already notified railway carriers to reorganize their logistics accordingly. Despite the logistical challenges, the project aims to enhance transport efficiency with higher speeds and a fully electrified route upon completion.
