Trafic de migranți prin România către Italia. Șapte suspecți au fost arestați într-o operațiune coordonată de Europol

An international human trafficking network transporting migrants from the Middle East through Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania to Italy has been dismantled following a coordinated Europol operation. Seven individuals were arrested across three countries, with Romanian authorities involved in the investigation targeting a group suspected of using rented, stolen, or fraudulently registered vehicles for migrant transport. The operation took place on July 16, coordinated by Greek authorities with Europol's support, and involved simultaneous actions in multiple cities. The network primarily consisted of Syrian and Egyptian nationals and was linked to 12 migrant trafficking cases from February to July 2026. Investigators uncovered a well-organized operation that adapted to evade law enforcement, utilizing small cars for transport and transferring migrants to trucks for the final leg to Italy.
