Employers must revise their employee benefit policies to access new tax facilities for savings and investment accounts (CEI). There are two types of accounts: CEI-S, which offers tax exemption, and CEI-D, which allows for tax deductions. The choice between these accounts should consider individual tax situations and withdrawal conditions, as funds can only be accessed upon retirement or reaching 65 years of age. Contributions to CEI-D can be deducted from salary taxes, while withdrawals incur a 10% tax. The accounts will be managed by authorized banks and investment firms, with specific regulations pending from the ASF. Employers can finance CEI-D for employees if included in employment contracts, but contributions are subject to a cap of 33% of the base salary. The new rules aim to encourage personal investment and relieve the public pension system.
