Tot mai puțini operatori pe piața deșeurilor electronice, după înăsprirea condițiilor de licențiere. Presiune pe costuri (Studiu) - StartupCafe
The number of organizations managing producer responsibility for electronic waste in Romania has decreased due to stricter licensing conditions. The Competition Council warns that these new requirements may limit market access and increase costs for producers and consumers. From 2021 to 2026, the number of organizations dropped from 19 to 14. The stricter regulations include a minimum market share requirement and a guarantee of 2 million lei. The study highlights rising costs in the electronic waste management system, with Romania's fees being higher than in several other European countries. Additionally, the uneven distribution of treatment facilities exacerbates the situation, as many counties lack authorized units. The Council recommends reassessing the impact of these regulations and standardizing categories for better comparison of offers.
