Since the beginning of the year, there have been 1.3 million applications for part-time positions, a 13% rise compared to 2025. Approximately 27,000 part-time jobs are available, averaging 49 applications per position. The demand for part-time work is primarily driven by the need for additional income, with many full-time employees considering it a temporary solution for financial challenges. Retail, insurance, and tourism are among the sectors with the most part-time opportunities. Notably, 14.6% of these jobs are remote, appealing to candidates seeking flexibility. The average net salary for part-time roles is around 3,000 lei per month.
