Tot mai multe firme din România ajung în insolvență: aproape 4.800 de cazuri în doar opt luni
Insolvencies are rising in 2026, particularly in construction and agriculture, with experts warning of delayed reactions from entrepreneurs worsening the situation. From January to August 2026, 4,782 firms entered insolvency, a 4.85% increase from the previous year. The first half of 2026 saw a record 3,855 insolvency procedures, attributed to a 0.8% GDP decline and a 5.7% drop in consumption. Despite a slight decrease in new registrations, the number of insolvency cases in courts continues to rise. The lack of liquidity is widespread, with many companies failing to utilize preventive measures available under Romanian law. The construction sector has the second-highest insolvency rate, while agriculture faces rapid deterioration due to various economic pressures. Experts predict continued increases in insolvencies through the end of the year, emphasizing the need for financial education and early warning systems.
