The Sibiu State Philharmonic will host the 25th edition of the Sibiu Opera Festival from September 28 to October 16, 2026, featuring artists and ensembles from Romania and abroad. This anniversary edition includes opera and operetta performances, contemporary dance, children's events, and conferences in unconventional venues. The festival, which began in 2001, will showcase renowned artists and orchestras, including Teatro Goldoni from Livorno and the Hungarian Opera from Cluj-Napoca. The program also features educational concerts and discussions about opera, supported by local government funding.
