In 2024, Romanian companies expanded their foreign subsidiaries to 269, generating 9.9 billion lei in revenue, a decrease from the previous year. Digi and Electrogrup SA were the top companies in terms of revenue from these subsidiaries. While the number of foreign branches increased, the overall revenue declined, with 191 subsidiaries located in EU countries. Digi Romania led the ranking, reporting significant growth in contracts in Portugal and Italy. Electrogrup SA, previously unranked, emerged as a major player, while Banca Transilvania and Est Grain SA also featured prominently in the rankings. The data reflects a mixed performance in international operations for Romanian firms.
