Țoiu: Visa Waiver rămâne o prioritate. România lucrează pentru reluarea procesului împreună cu SUA
Romania's inclusion in the Visa Waiver program remains a priority, contingent on meeting technical criteria and U.S. political decisions, according to Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu. She noted that Romania previously reduced visa refusal rates below 3%, a requirement for the program, but the process was halted due to changes in the U.S. administration. Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs manages the application, and both countries maintain strong cooperation on border security and information exchange. Progress depends on reducing visa refusal rates again and aligning with U.S. visa policy.
