The ANSVSA is preparing a vaccination campaign for sheep and goats against major diseases, starting in early October. The plan targets high-risk areas in Dobrogea and the rest of the country. Vaccination is set to begin by October 1, 2026, following the receipt of vaccine doses from the European Bank. The campaign will cover all animals, with specific vaccinations for Peste des Petits Ruminants in Constanța and Tulcea, and for Sheep and Goat Pox nationwide. The action plan complies with EU regulations and was developed with European experts. The implementation is crucial for resuming animal exports, while trade in meat and dairy products remains unaffected. ANSVSA is working on securing bilateral agreements with major markets for live animal exports, which will resume after the vaccination plan is in place. Compliance with biosecurity measures is essential for the success of the plan.
