The National Top of Firms 2026 report reveals that Romania's top companies achieved a combined turnover of over 299 billion euros, marking a 4.34% increase from the previous year. The report includes 12,943 companies across seven sectors, with a total operating profit of 26.5 billion euros. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban, emphasized that despite public discourse about economic difficulties, these firms are thriving and providing jobs for nearly 1.4 million people. The commerce sector leads in turnover, while industry remains the most profitable. The TNF is the only legally authorized institution to compile such rankings in Romania, analyzing nearly a million financial statements for this edition.
