The Ministry of Finance has launched a new edition of the TEZAUR state bonds program, offering individuals attractive savings opportunities with interest rates exceeding 7%. From September 7 to October 2, 2026, Romanian citizens can invest in TEZAUR bonds with maturities of 1, 3, and 5 years, featuring annual interest rates of 6.20%, 6.75%, and 7.15%. The income generated is tax-exempt, and the bonds are issued in dematerialized form. Purchases can be made online or at Treasury units, with specific dates for each method. Investors can also cancel subscriptions during the subscription period. The funds raised will finance the budget deficit and refinance public debt.
