Romania achieved three medals, including one gold and two silver, at the Under-23 World Rowing Championships in Duisburg. Bianca-Camelia Ifteni made history by winning gold in women's single sculls, marking Romania's first title in this event. Ifteni, who had a slow start, surged ahead in the final 1,000 meters to secure her victory. The silver medals were earned in the mixed double sculls by David Costel Chitic and Stejara Olariu, and in the mixed eight event. The competition featured new events, showcasing Romania's strong performance.
