Țintă aeriană, detectată la nord de județul Tulcea. MApN a ridicat două aeronave F-18

On October 17, the Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported detecting an aerial target over Ukraine near the Romanian border. In response, two Spanish F-18 aircraft were deployed for airspace security. Alerts were issued to the population in northern Tulcea County, but no incursions into Romanian airspace were confirmed. Earlier, a drone had entered Romanian airspace near Sulina, prompting the deployment of both Spanish F-18s and Romanian F-16s. The military monitored the drone for a brief period before it disappeared from radar. Additional aerial targets were detected, leading to further alerts for residents in the region. The Ministry confirmed no other incursions occurred aside from the drone incident.
