Young NEETs can receive up to 27,000 lei upon their first employment, with financial support provided over two years. This initiative aims to help those aged 16 to 30 who are not in education, employment, or training. The program, "STEP UP - Youth, a Chance for the Future!", offers a monthly stability bonus for full-time, indefinite contracts, starting at 1,000 lei for the first year and increasing to 1,250 lei for the second year. Registration with the employment agency is required before hiring, and certain exclusions apply regarding eligible employers. The project has a budget of approximately 854.85 million lei and targets 21,200 NEET youths, with implementation set from September 2026 to December 2029.
