TikTok is establishing a new data center in Finland to enhance data security for European users, part of its €12 billion Project Clover. The Kouvola center will initially have a capacity of 50 MW, expanding to 150 MW. Construction began in September 2025, with completion expected by 2027. TikTok plans to invest €1 billion in this facility and another €1 billion in a separate center in Lahti. Finland is becoming a key location for data centers due to its land and energy availability, attracting significant investments from major cloud companies and AI labs.
