The road tax and TollRo enter a new phase. CNAIR announces when the new rates will take effect

CNAIR has announced key dates for the implementation of Romania's new road tax and TollRo system, effective in 2026. The electronic tolling system will be operational from August 31, 2026, but fees will not be collected until October 1, 2026. The system will apply to vehicles over 3.5 tons and will integrate with EU toll systems by January 15, 2027.
