Thailanda vrea să introducă o taxă de „ieșire” din țară pentru turiști. Cât ar costa

Thailand is considering implementing an exit tax of approximately 1,000 baht for travelers leaving the country, alongside a 450 baht fee for foreign arrivals by air. This initiative aims to boost government revenue after years of budget deficits, as tourism is a vital economic sector. However, the tourism association warns that such taxes could significantly reduce passenger numbers and impact the industry negatively. In 2023, Thailand received around 24 million foreign tourists, a decrease from previous years, and the government hopes to attract 33 million visitors this year. The proposed exit tax may be included in flight ticket prices, with funds potentially supporting domestic tourism and travel insurance.
