Termocentrala de la Iernut intră în linie dreaptă. Bolojan: „De la jumătatea lunii septembrie, toate contractele vor fi operaționale”

The Iernut gas power plant project is set to advance as all necessary contracts will be operational by mid-September, according to interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The project, crucial for Romania's energy system, has seen most contracts renewed after the previous contractor's bankruptcy. Bolojan emphasized the importance of the plant in balancing energy production across the country and reducing pressure on transport networks. Construction is expected to finish by the end of the year, with testing starting in winter, aiming for full operation by early 2027. The project is vital for the local and national economy.
