Terminal american de GNL în Albania susţinut şi de Transgaz

The planned LNG terminal by Argent LNG in southern Albania is a $1.5-2 billion project aimed at serving Central and Eastern Europe. It will have a storage and regasification capacity of 5 million tons per year, supported by major U.S. institutions and private funds. The company aims to create a network of partnerships to diversify gas supply sources, collaborating with operators like Transgaz in Romania and Naftogaz in Ukraine. The terminal will facilitate the transit of U.S. LNG through Romania, enhancing supply routes to Moldova and Ukraine. Although Albania primarily relies on hydroelectric resources, the terminal is designed to support neighboring countries by redirecting gas volumes through an interconnected European network.
