Termenele de finalizare pentru spitalele regionale din Iași, Cluj și Craiova, prelungite până în 2029

The Romanian government has extended the deadlines for the completion of three regional emergency hospitals in Iași, Cluj, and Craiova to 2029 due to delays in bidding and construction. So far, only 184.6 million euros of the 923 million euros borrowed from the European Investment Bank (EIB) have been utilized. The new completion dates are December 2029 for Iași and Cluj, and mid-2029 for Craiova. The extension was approved in a government meeting and does not increase Romania's financial obligations to the EIB. The hospitals were initially expected to be completed by 2026, but delays in procurement and construction have necessitated the changes. The agreement with the EIB also relaxes some conditions for fund disbursement, allowing for quicker access to funds.
