Sergiu Alexandru Onica, a 12-year-old tennis player from CSM Oradea, reached the finals of the Emilio Sánchez Academy Kids Cup U12 in Barcelona, showcasing remarkable talent. Despite losing in the final to Spanish player Tiago Charcos Charles, Onica's journey included victories over top-ranked opponents, solidifying his status in the Tennis Europe Junior Tour. He currently ranks second in the national U12 standings and has achieved significant results in other international competitions this year. Onica balances his athletic pursuits with academic excellence, finishing fifth grade with a perfect score.
