The General Directorate of Public Finances Bucharest warns about a new online scam involving fake car sale ads on Publi24, falsely attributed to ANAF. Malicious individuals are using forged documents to impersonate agency employees. Similar ads were also seen on OLX.ro earlier this month. Experts advise against sharing personal or banking information over the phone. The agency emphasizes that it does not post sale ads on commercial platforms. The only legitimate platform for ANAF auctions is eLicitatiiANAF, launched in March for selling seized goods. Users can report fake ads through ANAF's contact form or the National Cyber Security Directorate.
